University students compete in theatrical performance and sketch comedy

The annual student competition in theatrical performance, acting and sketch comedy attracted the attention of a large audience at the Theatre of Musical Comedy on the 23rd of October.

First-year students competed to be the best home department in the Institute of Arts and Sciences, Siberian Federal University. The competition involved 2 stages. In the first stage, students presented a comedy sketch about their home department. This part of the competition was called “I love my department and want everybody to love it”. The second part was a competition in singing, dancing or acting.

The twelve teams competing during the event demonstrated originality, creativity and a wonderful sense of humour. A team from the Department of Physical Education presented the best comedy sketch and gave the best performance. They won the first place in the competition. The second place was shared by the Department of Philology and Journalism and the Department of Chemistry.
