Three associate professors from Siberian Federal University received early career fellowships from the Vladimir Potanin Foundation. The fellowships provide career development opportunities to young university teachers with a doctorate degree and three-years experience of teaching at an academic institution. Approximately 130 fellowships of 40 000 roubles ($1740) are available each year. This year's awardees from Siberian Federal University are Alexey Kytmanov from the Department of Applied Mathematics, Andrey Shcherbakov from the Department of General Linguistics and Rhetoric and Irina Yamskikh from the Department of Ecosystem Studies.
