Tatarstan President visited SibFU

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Lev Kuznetsov, Krasnoyarsk Krai Governor, had a meeting with the Board of the Regional Tatar Community Council for Krasnoyarsk Krai. Edkham Akbulatov, head of Krasnoyarsk, attended the meeting.

«Our relations now include an important component, a link to connect our regions and their young people. The Universiade is a sport event but it is also a cultural event. It will let us speak about ourselves and make our territory more attractive and open», — Lev Kuznetsov said.

Tatarstan President Minnikhanov expressed an intention to share his experience in organizing the Universiade.

SibFU Rector Eugene Vaganov showed the President around the university. Rustam Minnikhanov spoke about the high level of the university digitisation programmes. He asked the university to help the Tatar community in digitizing books in the Tatar language for the regional community. In addition, the President expressed his hope for srtengthening the academic exchange between the students of Siberian and Kazan Federal Universities.
